 The memories of the death of his childhood sweetheart Richard still haunt war veteran Leonard today. To escape his pain and grief, Leonard turns to alcohol over the years. Only his new friend Arthur manages for a brief moment to pull Leonard, who is inexplicably broken, out of his hole. A relapse into alcohol and a resulting argument with his friend Arthur finally lead Leonard to face his demons.
